Robert Faucheux

:Not to be confused with another Louisiana state representative, Ronald Anthony Faucheux, of New Orleans''
Robert Ronald Faucheux, Jr., known as Bobby Faucheux (born November 28, 1950), is a lawyer from LaPlace in suburban St. John the Baptist Parish near New Orleans, Louisiana, who served from 1996 to 2004 as a Democrat in the Louisiana House of Representatives.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Membership in the Louisiana House of Representatives, 1812-2016 (St. John the Baptist and St. James parishes) )

In November 1995, Faucheux defeated his fellow Democrat, Lloyd B. Johnson, 8,824 votes (51.1 percent) to 8,443 (48.9 percent) to claim the seat vacated by another Democrat, Joseph Accardo, Jr.

Faucheux was a member of the Judiciary, Ways and Means, and Natural Resources committees and the Joint Committee on Capital Outlay.〔"Louisiana: Faucheux, Robert R. (Bobby)", ''Who's Who in American Politics, 2003-2004'', 19th ed., Vol. 1 (Alabama-Montana) (Marquis Who's Who: New Providence, New Jersey, 2003), p. 778〕 His service corresponded with the two terms of Republican Governor Mike Foster. His District 57 included St. John the Baptist and St. James parishes. He did not seek a third term in the nonpartisan blanket primary held on October 20, 2007. The district now includes St. John the Baptist and St. Charles parishes.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Prior to opening his practice in LaPlace, he maintained an office in Gramercy in St. James Parish. Faucheux is a member of the Louisiana Association of Trial Lawyers. He served as a captain in the United States Army, a position which he left in 1978. He is Roman Catholic and is married to the former Darlene Anne Bourgeois.〔
In 1992, Faucheux was disciplined by the Louisiana Supreme Court regarding conflict of interest and failure to communicate with clients Harold and Mona Washington, who sought damages stemming from a vehicular accident and then divorced while their civil case was proceeding. Faucheux was suspended from the practice of law for six months, but the sentence was deferred, and he was instead placed on supervised probation for one year. He was subsequently disciplined for practicing law without a license in a slip-and-fall case in Harris County, Texas. The trial court fined him $1,000, and the Louisiana Supreme Court in this instance suspended his law license for 180 days.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=The Committee to Expose Dishonest and Incompetent Judges, Attorneys and Public Officials: Attorney Robert Faucheux, Jr. )
